Brazilian-Feijoada-Black-Bean-Stew.jpg My culture that was chosen from the globe was Brazil. Brazil is known for the scent of its amazing street food, which is popular in Brazilian culture. Brazil is known for its delicious food, a popular dish is called Feijoada. This dish contains black beans cooked with many different types of pork, it also contains tomatoes, cabbages, and carrots. The top three languages are Portuguese, German, and Indigenous Languages. A celebration in Brazil is called Tiradentes’ Day. It is the anniversary of the death of Tiradentes. Another celebration in Brazil is called Our Lady of Aparecida. It commemorates the Virgin Mary. The last celebration is called All Souls’ Day. It is a Christian Holiday. The traditional outfits in Brazil are bombachas pants, baiana dress, poncho, Carmen Mirada costume, and cowboy hats. Common clothing in Brazil among women are short skirts and dresses. Men are commonly known to wear jeans and T-shirts. The social cues of Brazil are the touching of the arms and backs are common. Public displays of affection such as kissing are acceptable. Brazilians are more physical touch in conversation's they like to generally be close to each other. It is interesting to learn about Brazil’s culture and how they live daily. I would like to learn more about Brazil’s food and I want to understand why the food is popular. |
